Top scoring students praised by MoE

KABUL: Ministry of Education praised students who were placed in the first, second and third ranks in an educational contest and congratulated them on their success the other day.
Education Director of Kabul Sayed Mansor said the ministry ran an educational competition among 63,000 students from private and governmental schools in Kabul, where Qamar Mohammadi from Sar Asiab high school stands in first position, and Sayed Nasrat Mosawi from Sayed Ismail Balkhi high school and Mohammad Hanif Naziri from Isteqlal high school respectively got second and third positions. Addressing a press conference here, he said the contest was organized last year and the top soring students were selected after many stages. These students were also conferred upon gifts and cash prizes by the ministry.
Deputy Education Minister Asef Nang said educational contests encourage students, helps assess education system and boost up relation between government and private schools in Kabul. Students will also be motivated to study harder and seek more knowledge, he said.
The top scoring students admired the ministry for arranging contests and educational programs to encourage and empower bright students across the country.
