President Karzai had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor

KABUL: Hamid Karzai, president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan talked by phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
In this telephone contact made by Mrs. Merkel, both sides exchanged views and discussed bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Germany and BSA between Kabul and Washington.
President Karzai once again congratulates Angela Merkel for her success in parliamentary elections. Considering Germany as close and old friend of Afghan people, President Hamid Karzai said Afghanistan is in favor solemn relations and cooperation with Germany and wanted the relations to be further extended in different sectors.
President Karzai also briefed his stance over BSA between Afghanistan and US and said Afghanistan stance has been made from 12 years experiences with US.
President Hamid Karzai said Afghanistan Consultative Loya Jirga by endorsing the agreement has shown Afghanistan’s friendship with US, adding the US should now prove its good will over Afghanistan demands.
“Afghanistan wants to sign BSA with US, but we have certain pre-conditions for signing the agreement, saying practical start of peace process and complete stoppage of military raids by US forces on Afghanistan villages are the conditions for which US should provide Afghanistan guarantees,” President Karzai said.
