Addressing to registered complaints relating to presidential, provincial councils’ nominees begin, Muhsini

KABUL: A spokesman for electoral complaints commission says deadline for registering complaints from the first list of presidential and provincial councils’ nominees has finished.
Nadir Muhsini, a spokesman for ECC in an interview with BNA said, “During legal time given for receiving complaints from presidential and provincial councils’ nominees, 18 complaints from presidential contenders and 456 complaints have been received from provincial councils’ contenders, adding the complaints which have been made by people and nominees and their teams are determined to be addressed for 20 days in the presence of representatives of organizations, civil societies and media.”
Dr. Ahmad Yousif Nooristani, IEC chairman in a news conference held recently told journalists ten contenders from total 27 presidential contenders and from total 3506 provincial councils’ nominees 2704 contenders found its way to the first list. He considered double citizenship, incompletion of fixed standards of IEC related to documents of the nominees as main reasons for their removal in the first list announced by IEC last week.
