Finance minister calls for humanitarian aid to Waziristan’s displaced people

KABUL: The minister for finance Dr. Omar Zakhilwal who visited the displaced people of Waziristan in Khost province had called for providing humanitarian aid including food and cash to the displaced persons.
Accompanied by Mohammad Akram Khpelwak the minister for frontiers and tribal affairs and Khost provincial governor, the finance minister provided the refugees 3000 bags of rice, 3000 bags of sugar, 10000 canes of cooking oil, 2000 cartons tea, 3000 blankets, three lorry biscuits, 1000 tents as well as 10 million Afghanis to Khost local authorities to help the displaced persons.
Dr. Zakhilwal also assured the newly arrived refugees that they are the guests of their Afghan brothers, calling on national traders to provide more supports to them.
