Izedyar calls for acceleration of work on Parendah dam
KABUL: The first deputy of senate, Mohammad Alam Izedyar in meeting with the deputy to the ministry for water and power yesterday stressed for acceleration of the work for construction of Parendah dam in Panjshir province. According to BNA, Izedyar said in the meeting that work for the project is not going as per schedule and said the company contracted for, has to accelerate the work for transporting the pipelines and installations of the turbines there to inaugurate the dam on its due time. At the cost of 7 million US dollars, the Parendah power dam was established in 1386 with the objective to generate 4 Mega Watt electricity. According to another report, a five-member senate delegation headed by Rafiullah Gul Afghan after attending the 86th NATO parliament seminar in Azerbaijan capital city, Baku returned home yesterday.
