KABUL: Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta presidential advisor to president on national security met the US deputy to Defense Secretary in Arg yesterday, BNA reports.
In the meeting, discussions took place on matters pertaining mutual interests including bilateral cooperation on security and the war on terrorism.
Briefing on the situation, Dr. Spanta said that trained people in civilian dress recently crossed into Kunar province from Pakistan and killing civilians, adding the Afghan security forces are determined to respond such incursions.
He also said that fighting terrorism in Pakistan is a correct movement, saying the military operations should take place against all terrorist groups including Haqqani network not only against Pakistani Taliban.
Dr. Spanta also attracted the attention of US for the solution of Afghan air force problems and the US dignitary assured to help overcome the concern.
