Bamyan to witness SAARC’s cultural programs
KABUL: A spokesman for Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a news conference yesterday said Bamyan had been named as cultural capital of SAARC for 2015 as a result of efforts by MoIC and directorate of regional cooperations for MoFA.
Speaking in the news conference, MoFA spokesman Ahmad Shekib Mustaghni said, “As a result of continuous efforts by Ministry of Information and Culture and directorate of regional cooperations for Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bamyan city has been introduced as cultural capital of SAARC member countries for 2015 and was named in a particular ceremony by Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen.”
He said it was determined that Bamyan city would witness holding cultural programs as shows, seminars, musical programs and local dances, handicrafts and arts exhibitions, literal festivals, food exhibitions and others by SAARC member countries.
