KABUL: National Directorate of Security (NDS) with coordination of other security forces has eliminated 10 terrorist networks in 64 operations.
Speaking in a news conference yesterday, NDS spokesman Abdul Haseeb Sediqi said, “National Directorate of Security with coordination of other security forces by launching 64 operations during election campaigns and election runoff has eliminated 10 terrorist networks, adding Taliban terrorist groups, Haqqani Network and other terrorist groups from other side of Durand line had been repeatedly making efforts to disrupt the election runoff by launching operations as bombings, suicide attacks and planting mines in the country’s provinces during election campaigns and runoff.”
He said NDS personnel in coordination with all security forces of the country had been able to organize 64 operations in the past 12 days, resulted in elimination of 10 terrorist networks relevant to Haqqani, network, Taliban group, Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terrorist networks. Sediqi added NDS personnel in coordination with ANA and ANP forces had prevented 473 terrorist programs across the country after the first round of presidential and provincial councils’ election.
