KABUL: In a meeting with UN secretary general special envoy to Afghanistan Jan Kubis held yesterday, first vice president, Mohammad Younus Qanooni exchanged views on the presidential run-off and described the national process as significant BNA reports. Qanooni said in the meeting that participation of people in the run-off demonstrates the hope of Afghans for bright future and stabile Afghanistan. He also praised the ability of Afghan national security forces in ensuring security for the elections. The UN special envoy besides congratulating the successful holding of the run-off also praised the participation of people in the process. The UN dignitary also stressed for more coordination between the election commissions. In the meeting, the UN secretary general special envoy also assured Qanooni for the world body’s continued assistance to Afghanistan.
