KABUL: President Hamid Karzai went to Amani Lycee and cast his vote in the second round of election to elect the country’s next president.
After casting his vote in favor of his favorite candidate, the president said, “Today you people by visiting polling centers and casting votes taking the beloved Afghanistan towards stability, good governance and prosperity.”
The president said, “Today virtually is a day of transition of Afghanistan towards peace, stability and progress and let us join hands to get rid Afghanistan of dependency on others.”
Calling upon people, president Karzai noted, “Please come out of your homes, elect your president and take your country towards stability and ensure better future for your children by casting your votes.”
Encouraging the people to vote, the president pointed out, “Your vote can bring peace and prosperity to Afghanistan and help the country to stand on its feet.” (The Kabul Times)
