BALKH: With a cost of more than 46,460,000Afs 16 sub-projects of the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development were recently completed in Balkh province and handed over to the communities. According of to the provincial manager of NSP in Balkh province, these development projects included the graveling of rural roads, construction of community centers, micro hydro power projects, retaining walls, irrigation canals and schools. The stated projects have been completed in Sholgara, Nahr-e-Shahi, Keshandeh, Dehdadee, Dawlatyad, Charbolak and Charkent districts of Balkh province. Approximately, 7,654 families benefitted from these development projects. Since its inception, the NSP has expended 3,048,665,813Afs for implementation of 2,718 development projects in Balkh province which included various sectors, such as: transport, water networks, micro hydro power projects, education and livelihood. Thousands of residents of Balkh province have benefited from these development projects so far.
