KABUL: Headed by first deputy of Senate Mohammad Alam Ezedyar, a Senate delegation left yesterday for Republic of Tatarstan to participate in the 6th Russia’s International Economic Forum and Islamic Cooperation Organization.
In the summit which will be for four days in Kazan city of Tataristan, various economic issues will be discussed. According to another report, Senate’s secretary Sayed Farukh Shah heard in a meeting complaints of a number of Takhar provincial council’s protester candidates. In the meeting, the protesters briefed related to Afghanistan elections held on 5th of April and opening polling stations in the province and said widespread fraud accomplished in those polling stations in provincial capital and districts, adding their votes had been used in favor of other candidates and asked for recounting the votes.
Senate secretary while pointing out related to processing of the national process asserted the protesters could share their complaints with Electoral Complaints Commission for further reviewing.
