KABUL: A copy of the Holy Quran was submitted yesterday by presidential palace office to Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen.
The historic copy of the Holy Quran was submitted by head of cadre and personnel for presidential palace office Shuja Mohammad Amel to Minister of Information and Culture for preserving in national archive.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, Dr. Raheen said, “This copy of the Holy Quran had been offered by Ghazni governor Musa Khan Akbarzada to President Hamid Karzai, adding that president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan previously submitted written artifacts through MoIC to national archive, this time the president also submitted the 400 years old copy of Holy Quran to national archive for further preserving.”
Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen submitted the Holy Quran’s copy to head of national archive Masouma Nazari for preserving in the archive.
It is said Hamid Karzai, president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has submitted all gifts granted in the past 12 years by world leaders, governments and domestic government officials to relevant organs for preserving in the national archive.
