KABUL: Turkish ambassador to Kabul in a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Atiqullah Atifmal has said PRT’s base to Maidan Wardak would be changed to a school by the name of Hamid Karzai.
In the meeting, both sides exchanged views and discussed relevant issues as strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, cooperation of Turkey in reconstruction and supporting of Afghanistan in international conferences in particular Istanbul process, achievements of Afghanistan’s government in the past 12 years, successfully holding of presidential and provincial councils’ elections, granting higher education scholarships to Afghan students, cooperation of Turkey in digitalizing of MoFA, archive and ten political consulates to foreign countries.
In return, Turkish ambassador to Kabul stressed on importance of brotherly relations between the two countries.
The Turkish ambassador to Kabul promised that his country’s embassy to Kabul would make efforts to provide a draft for decreasing restrictions of visa to Afghan residents to Turkey and share the issue with Turkish officials. The ambassador also asserted that Turkey by providing equipments of PRT to Maidan Wardak and handing over the base for the school which will be soon opened named as Hamid Karzai.
