Afghanistan exports increase by 33pc, Alokozai

KABUL: Afghanistan exports increased to $ 524 million in 2013.
Deputy Chief of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries in an interview has told BNA, “Afghanistan exports were nearly $ 393 million in 2012, while the figure jumped to $ 524 million in 2013, showing 33% increase in the country’s exports comparing to 2012. “The amount has been obtained from exporting various main products as vegetables, fresh fruits, dried fruits, precious stones, carpet and cotton,” Alakozai said.
He added the products costing $100m exported to Pakistan, $140m to India and the rest were exported to Russia, Germany and other European countries. The Kabul Times
