School building completed in Logar

KABUL: A primary boy-school, the construction process took one year to complete was inaugurated in southern province of Logar, an official said Thursday. The school, with all essentials including eight classrooms, four executive branches and other equipment had been constructed and opened for tens of students in Mohammad Agha district of the province, provincial education chief, Eng. Mohammad Akabar Stanekzai said. Tens of students have been helped have school building since the last long year, Stanekzai told a gathering of the provincial high ranking officials, teachers and governor. The project outlay of $140,000 was funded by the Central Asia Institution and the period to complete, took one year, said the chief. There are 63 schools including, 19 high schools and 15 middle schools with nearly 41,000 students including 15,278 girls and 736 teachers from amongst 97 women in the district, according to the chief. Five still operational religious schools (madrassas) with 26 teachers and 674 students are activated in the district. The Kabul Times
