KABUL: The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) Wednesday said exact investigation into the suspect ballots may bring change in the results.
“The ballot boxes quarantined in cooperation with the Independent Election Commission (IEC), would be investigated next week under the supervision of local and foreign observers, said Nader Mohseni, the IEC spokesman.
Representatives from the media, political parties, civil society and candidates as well as foreign observer mission would be asked for overseeing the process of investigation into the quarantined ballot boxes next week under the central authority’s appointed delegation, said the spokesman.
Some 343 of 892 complaints classed “Priority-A” had so far been investigated, with the rest under probe, he said adding the investigations could impact the election results.
