International Afghan-Turk exhibition held in Kabul

KABUL: 4th international Afghan-Turk exhibition was held yesterday by Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Afghan Traders and Industrials Association.
The exhibition aimed at extension of trading and economical relations between Afghanistan and Turkey and marketing of trading stuffs of Afghanistan and Turkey.
In a ceremony held on this occasion in Kabul, Minister of Economy Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal in his speech said, “This is not only a trading and economical exhibition but also a sign of friendship and cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkey.”
“Turkish companies are outstanding in all sectors in particular construction and road building in Afghanistan,” Arghandiwal added.
He said a country could not protect its independence until it did not become self-governed in economic sector.
Following, Turkish Ambassador to Kabul Ismail Aramaz said Turkey would continue its cooperation with Afghan people in all sectors beyond 2014 and holding such exhibitions would play vital role in extension of business between the two countries.
In the ceremony, head of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mohammad Qurban Haqjo also said Turkish companies to Afghanistan had invested more than $ 2 billion since 2002 and completed more than 330 construction projects in Afghanistan.
In the exhibition, 70 companies of the two countries put their products in 100 booths for exhibition. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Ghulam Nabi Farahi, Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Jarullah Mansoori and a number of Members of Parliament. The exhibition will remained open for four days from 9:00 to 17:00 to interests. The Kabul Times
