KABUL: First vice president Mohammad Younus Qanooni received Kabul governor Abdul Jabbar Taqwa and a number of district chiefs and provincial members of Kabul in his office yesterday.
In the meeting according to BNA, the vice president pointed out the people of Afghanistan by their high turnout in April 5 elections have emboldened the position and culture of our people to the worldnations.
He also noted that the people have done their task in the elections but now it is for the concerned bodies to announce the result of the elections impartially to the people.
In his remarks, governor Taqwa said that the people of Afghanistan by vast participation in the elections demonstrated their national responsibility.
According to another report, Qanooni also met with some members of House of People and religious scholars during which matters pertaining national issues came under discussion.
