KABUL: The new building of Senate including working offices were opened in the complementary building of National Assembly by chairman senate Fazal Hadi Muslimyar and minister for Urban Development Dr. Hassan Abdulahi yesterday. In his opening remarks, senate chairman had thanked the engineers and officials of the project for construction of the modern building, adding construction of this building would further boost the working capability of the senate. Later the senate chairman along with members of the house visited various sections of the building including the conference hall, dining room and archive. The new four-story building with 260 rooms is constructed on 22 acres land in Darul Aman near to the new parliament house by Banai Construction Company of the ministry for Urban Development. The landscape of the building was constructed by Sama Construction Company. Following the inauguration of the building, senate chairman Muslimyar and minister for urban development Dr. Hassan Abdulahi accompanied several members of the Senate had also planted saplings at the compound of the building and it is expected that 800 more saplings including fruit saplings and decorative saplings will be planted in the coming days.
