KABUL: Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran in a telephone call yesterday to Afghanistan Minister of Foreign Affairs offered the Iranian president’s sympathy and condolences to president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai. In telephone call, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jawad Zarif conveyed his sympathy and condolences and that of president of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of death of the First Vice President of Afghanistan Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim to President Hamid Karzai, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zarar Ahmad Osmani, family of late Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim and all people of Afghanistan. He said Afghanistan has lost its great man, adding Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim was one of those who always had good intention related to consolidation of peace and stability in Afghanistan and considered him as a good friend of Iran. His death is a loss for Afghanistan.
