KABUL: The spokesman of Ministry of Interior (MoI) Seddiq Seddiqi said yesterday that the casualties of police have fallen down over the past five months. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he added that the police casualties had dropped down over the past five months, saying on average basis two to four police are martyred daily across the country; while the figure was higher in the past. The reason for reduction in police casualties, Seddeqi said was defusing mines and early taking injured policemen to hospitals. Seddiqi also added at the press conference that the Interior Minister in meeting with police officials including the counter-terrorism and anti-criminal activities, last week had ordered to take necessary steps in controlling all kind of criminal activities within month.
