KABUL: A spokesman for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmad Shekib Mustaghni in response to recent statements made by Pakistan Foreign Ministry’s spokesman saying that Afghanistan had to fulfill its responsibility towards not letting terrorists use the country’s soil against Pakistan said, “Terrorism and extremism problems have come from Pakistan. Safe havens and training centers of terrorists and extremists are in Pakistan and Afghanistan has been targeted for years by terrorists trained in Pakistan. Therefore, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has persistently asked Pakistan for taking active and honest steps against terrorism and extremism in the region and rooting out safe havens and training centers of terrorists and extremists in Pakistan soil, while the country has continually expressed commitment to Afghanistan in this regard.” The Kabul Times
