KABUL: A spokesman for Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai will soon visit Sri Lanka.
It was determined the president visited Sri Lanka on Sunday, but killing of 20 ANA soldiers in Ghazi Abad of Kunar has caused that president Karzai postponed his official visit to that country.
A spokesman for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shekib Mustaghni in a briefing yesterday said President Hamid Karzai would soon visit Sri Lanka.
He didn’t give details related to date of the visit, stressing that the visit would take place in the offing.
Related to killing of ANA soldiers in Kunar province, the spokesman said the soldiers had been killed by the terrorists crossing the border, asserting that Pakistan should honestly act towards counterterrorism.
