KABUL: The foundation stone of a university was laid in central Maidan Wardak province on Saturday.
According to Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, the foundation stone-laying ceremony was held for the university being built in Syedabad district.
Governor Abdul Majid Khogyani, government officials, parliamentarians, provincial council members and tribal elders attended the event.
“Today is an important day for me having this opportunity to lay the foundation stone of the university,” the governor told the audience.
The university is built on 1000 acres of land and based on the president’s directive, it should be completed within one year. The Kabul Times
