KABUL: A new appointed editor in chief for The Kabul Times was introduced yesterday by Deputy of Publications for Information and Culture to employees of the newspaper.
According to BNA, Deputy of Publications for Information and Culture Mrs. Simeen Hasanzada while introducing the new appointed editor in chief for the paper said, “Among five government newspapers, The Kabul Times is one of the newspapers published in English and has gotten its position inside and outside of the country.”
Mrs. Hasanzada praised acting editor in chief of the paper Najiba Maram, newly appointed as head of publications for MoIC through competition process for her works and activities in the newspaper.
While congratulating appointment of Hamidullah Arefi, newly appointed as editor in chief of The Kabul Times through open competition process, Deputy of Publications for MoIC said, “One of the youths have entered the section and I hope he will run the newspaper in a better way and by following professional initiates with sound competition.”
The newly appointed editor in chief Arefi said, “One of my wishes was to serve my country through working in The Kabul Times, saying I will make efforts for improvement quality of the paper.” He was committed to seriously work in this regard.
