UN assistance to Afghanistan to increase as BSA gets signed

KABUL: United Nations assistance to Afghanistan will increase in case of signing Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) between Kabul and Washington.
United Nations special envoy to Afghanistan in his visit from Nangarhar said, “UN is to continue its assistance to Afghanistan and the assistance will increase in case of signing BSA between Kabul and Washington.” UN special envoy to Afghanistan in a meeting with Nangarhar local officials said the world would never leave reconstruction and development convoy of Afghanistan alone.
He also said the world was supporting a transparent and clear election in Afghanistan.
Governor of Nangarhar Attaullah Lodin in meeting with the UN senior diplomat said they were making efforts to provide facilities for holding countrywide election by launching military operations.
Governor of Nangarhar also praised UN for its assistance in development of the eastern province, asking for further increase of the assistance to province. The Kabul Times
